WIND FORECAST
Marignane · Le Jaï
About the spot
Le Jaï faces the Étang de Berre along the narrow sand spit at Marignane. Westerly winds can provide moderate conditions, while northwesterly Mistral is onshore and can become very gusty with steep wind waves. Easterly to southeasterly winds are offshore and are not recommended.
Launch and riding are restricted to designated areas. Rigging, launching and nearshore navigation in front of the houses are prohibited; keep the marked transit channel clear. The narrow beach and obstacles require controlled starts. Learners need suitable school conditions. Check summer vehicle access and parking beforehand; neighbouring Étang de Bolmon is protected habitat.
Access & local notes
Use only the designated kite zone and channel; avoid the houses and check summer vehicle access. Strong Mistral is demanding.
