About the spot

Pentrez is an important teaching beach in Douarnenez Bay. The open sandy shore works in westerly weather from northwest through south. Calmer conditions allow freeriding, while swell and stronger wind raise the difficulty considerably.

Low tide leaves ample sand; high water restricts launching space. Summer kite lessons use an allocated area, rather than the entire beach being freely available. Land sailors and other water users share the site. Beginners should select conditions with the school.
