Pont-Mahé
About the spot
Pont-Mahé is a gently shelving bay between Assérac and Pénestin. Sufficient water creates a more sheltered freeriding setting also used by kite schools. Much of the bay dries at low tide, so usable sessions depend strongly on tidal height and range.
Confirm the suitable water window before travelling. Teaching areas, swimmers and occupied launch space constrain access. Shallow water adds grounding risk for foils. The pin identifies the bay; ask a local operator for the currently authorised entry.
Access & local notes
Confirm sufficient water and the current entry; allow for the drying bay and teaching areas.
