About the spot

Port-la-Nouvelle's southern sea beach provides an alternative to the areas near Gruissan farther north. Southeasterly Marin approaches from the sea and can generate substantial beachbreak. Tramontane often smooths the water but blows offshore here.

The harbour and approaches are not kite areas. Check the currently designated southern beach section and any construction or seasonal restrictions. Organised recovery is essential for Tramontane; beginners should ride only with supervision. Marin also requires careful assessment of shorebreak and landing space.
