About the spot
Rivedoux's northern shore is the established kite area at the eastern end of Île de Ré. Part of the beach is allocated to kitesurfing. Tide changes depth, exposed sand and clearance from oyster installations considerably. Suitable conditions allow freeriding and supervised teaching.
The bridge area is prohibited because of current and obstacles. Keep completely clear of oyster installations, swimmers and signed boundaries. This entry does not recommend a universal wind direction for every access. Confirm the actual launch and a safe return with a local school or association.
Access & local notes
Use the signed northern kite zone; avoid the bridge exclusion area and oyster installations.
