About the spot
Rivedoux Sud is the opposite, more swimming-oriented side of Sablanceaux. Municipal beach rules restrict kitesurfing to the northern kite zone from 15 June to 15 September. During that period the south side only allows regulated land-based instruction by the sailing school, not independent water launches. Wind and wave conditions differ from the established northern area.
This does not authorise the entire beachfront. Municipal rules distinguish swimming areas, boat and windsurf corridors, and the hazardous bridge exclusion area. Explicitly confirm the currently permitted kite access before riding. Visitors unfamiliar with the site should consult a local kite school.
Access & local notes
No independent water launch from 15 June to 15 September; confirm off-season kite access and avoid exclusion areas.
