About the spot
Les Esclamandes north of Saint-Aygulf has a designated kite area near the Argens mouth. Southerly thermal wind and easterlies are typical. East wind is more onshore and can create waves and substantial shorebreak.
A marked summer corridor crosses the coastal zone; adjacent buffer and swimming areas remain clear. Check current boundaries and local instructions. Northwest Mistral can be offshore and highly irregular, making it unsuitable for beginners. Despite available teaching, independent riders need a controlled return through surf.
