About the spot

Saint-Efflam occupies the western part of the broad Lieue de Grève near Plestin-les-Grèves. With suitable wind and tide, the shallow sandy bay provides room for lessons and freeriding. Falling water leaves a long walk to usable depth; this is not a permanently filled standing-depth area.

Assess waves, wind strength and available depth locally. Avoid crossing accumulated algae or unfamiliar soft ground. Schools select a section of the bay for the conditions. Allow for summer swimming areas and a return route that changes with the rising tide.
