About the spot
Plage Est is a sea beach at Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer in the Camargue. The municipal decree identifies south, southeast and southwest winds for kitesurfing. This beach is distinct from the speed canal and Beauduc; those names do not confer access here.
The town section between Port Gardian and Digue à la Mer has a closure from Easter to 30 September under the decree. Outside that period, swimmers, beach occupancy and surf still matter. Verify the currently authorised section locally and do not launch without clear space.
Access & local notes
Observe the town-beach Easter–30 September closure; check the current decree and southerly wind sector.
