About the spot

Sciotot lies between the Flamanville and Le Rozel headlands. This west-facing bay is primarily a wave environment: Atlantic swell, wind and tide can generate powerful surf. Kiting is documented here, but extensive sand does not create a sheltered lagoon.

The spot suits independent riders experienced in waves and self-rescue. Surfers, schools and land yachts share the coast. Check local launch areas, surf and the remaining beach at rising tide before rigging. A verified wind-sector rating has not yet been assigned.
