About the spot

La Tonnara is on the western side of the Bonifacio area and is more exposed than inner Ventilègne Bay. Westerly wind can bring choppy freeriding and waves. Small islands and rocky shoreline sections require detailed local knowledge.

The local school describes flat but offshore conditions in easterly wind. Those require suitable organisation and recovery, rather than independent beginner use. Check limited launch space and summer beach occupancy locally. Reliable upwind ability and a planned return are prerequisites for independent sessions.
