About the spot
The eastern end of Camber contains the Broomhill Sands kite area. Lower water reveals a broad sandy launch with flatter patches between small waves; stronger winds bring more demanding surf. Southerly and southwesterly winds are typical choices.
Tide planning is essential because high water reaches the coastal defences and removes launch and landing space. Local schools provide tuition, with lessons dependent on conditions and the designated riding area.

Use the marked kite zone. Avoid at least 2.5 hours either side of high water and allow time to land safely.
