About the spot

Greatstone faces east on the Dungeness peninsula, making it a useful alternative in easterly winds. The gently shelving sand produces small waves and flatter sections depending on the tide.

Low water can mean a long walk, while the rising tide reduces the beach. Shallow areas suit supervised progression but should not be mistaken for uniformly deep foiling water.
