About the spot

Gullane is a sandy Firth of Forth bay with chop and wind-driven small waves. Low tide provides more room than high water, and Edinburgh riders regularly use it.

The coastline affects wind near the beach. Obtain local guidance on a first visit, especially when little sand remains for landing.
