East Beach extends east from Nairn harbour towards Culbin Forest. The local visitor organisation explicitly lists kitesurfing among beach activities; walkers and birdwatchers also use the long sandy shore.

Nearby Culbin Sands reserve requires care around resting and feeding birds. Agree a launch and suitable water area with a local school, especially as the tide changes.
