About the spot

West Sands runs beside the St Andrews golf courses. Tide creates shallow sections, chop or wind waves; northerly to easterly winds provide suitable exposure.

The kite area is towards the northern beach, but the adjacent Eden estuary and bird sanctuary are not unrestricted riding areas.
