About the spot

St Mary’s Bay lies north of Greatstone beside Romney Marsh. Suitable tide levels provide room for tuition and freeride, but rising water makes the groynes an important obstacle.

The launch is shared with other beach users. High-water sessions and marginal wind directions sometimes used by supported schools are not general recommendations for independent beginners.
