West of Ramsgate Harbour, Western Undercliffe exposes broad, partly muddy flats at low water. Westerly winds can work but are often gusty, with choppy water.

The tide advances quickly. Riders unable to hold ground risk drifting towards the wall and harbour, so the apparent space does not make this a straightforward beginner spot.
