About the spot

Long Rock at Swalecliffe is Whitstable’s second launch, also called The Point. Lower water can expose banks with flatter riding areas; higher water brings chop and less room for mistakes.

Stones, mussel beds and groynes distinguish it from an open sandy bay. Inspect the obstacles at lower tide and obtain local advice before a first session.
