About the spot

The Street is the sand-and-shingle spit exposed off Tankerton at low tide. It creates flatter water in suitable conditions and is distinct from Long Rock farther east.

The usable launch exists only around low water. Groynes and a busy public beach require controlled riding and generous separation even when the water looks flat.

Access & local notes

Use the approximate two-hour window either side of low tide and secure a return before the spit floods.
