Gollendorf sits on the northern shore of Orther Reede. Extensive shallows suit lessons and freeriding in west through south to east winds; northerlies are affected by land shelter.

The grass behind the dyke and two accesses are shared. Shore armour requires a controlled entry; do not launch on the dyke. Very low water limits jumps and foils despite the large riding area.
