About the spot

Anavyssos bay on the Athens Riviera is a kite option in suitable southerly wind. The official Athens guide distinguishes this from northerlies, which are often gusty and offshore along the Riviera. Smooth water in a north wind is therefore not a dependable sign of safe riding.

This is also a swimming and watersports beach. Check clear launch space, current activity zones and available assistance. Independent sessions require a reliable return and upwind control; beginners should enter only with explicitly arranged kite instruction.
