About the spot

Chalikounas occupies the sandy coastal strip beside Lake Korission in southwestern Corfu. The local station describes a northwesterly breeze building through the day and a gently sloping beach. Stronger wind adds chop and surf; suitable conditions allow supervised learning.

Ride on the sea side at the confirmed launch. The neighbouring lake and dunes are sensitive habitats, not additional practice areas. Check in with Kite Club Corfu, establish the separation from swimmers and use existing access routes before setting up.
