About the spot

At the Acheloos mouth, sandbanks and shallow water form an extensive riding area. Tsimari and Dioni are alternative names for the same kite venue. Sheltered sections offer freeriding and freestyle, while currents, depth and chop increase farther out.

Local schools use the spot according to wind and water level. The river setting calls for attention to shifting channels, debris and currents. Follow existing access tracks and the assigned launch; wetlands, fishing installations and neighbouring natural areas are not additional riding space.
