About the spot

Fanari lies near Argostoli between the Katavothres watermills and Agioi Theodoroi lighthouse. Recent local reporting documents an active kite community here. The small beach opens onto the gulf, with limited launching room, rocky neighbouring coves and other water users requiring confident control.

This is better suited to experienced riders with their own equipment than to an unplanned first lesson. Ask locals about the entry and suitable wind. The little bathing coves beside the lighthouse are not interchangeable kite launches; allow enough space to abort a launch safely.
