About the spot

Wooden Bridge is the shallow kite area on the mainland approach north of Lefkada. Offshore rocks reduce waves, producing smoother water in a suitable summer breeze. Those rocks and limited depth also make careless jumping or foiling inappropriate.

Check access over the small bridge and the space available for launching. This is not the ornamental bridge in Lefkada town, nor permission to use the whole lagoon and fishing area. Beginners need a local briefing, especially when other kites, the bridge and shallow obstacles reduce room.

Use the locally confirmed kite section. Keep away from rocks, the bridge and protected lagoon areas; inspect depth before riding.
