About the spot

Faneromeni is north of Sigri, with a longer and more open sandy bay than the village beach. Suitable wind produces larger chop and surf for independent freeriders and wave riders. It is also described as a destination for guided kite safaris.

Conditions differ from sheltered Sigri, so reassess equipment and safety plans rather than transferring them unchanged. Swimmers can restrict the entry, particularly on leisure days. Organise transport, a launch partner and recovery; schools nearby in Sigri do not imply permanent supervision at Faneromeni.
