About the spot

Sigri is on Lesvos' windy western tip. Islands and the bay's shape create smoother sections, with more chop and waves outside and near the passage. Summer Meltemi supports freeriding and organised tuition, while the village beach also serves swimmers.

Extrados provides radio instruction and boat cover. Agree the meeting point and kite sector rather than launching at the harbour or among bathers. Rocks, fishing equipment and boats can constrain riding. Independent sessions require a dependable return and knowledge of the bay.
