About the spot

Mikri Vigla's northern bay is an established Meltemi venue on Naxos. Wind accelerates between Naxos and Paros; sandy beach, chop and smoother patches support freeriding, freestyle and supervised tuition. The southern beach beyond the rocky headland is a different setting.

Several schools and many independent riders share the bay. Strong Meltemi and crowds require dependable upwind control and disciplined launching. Respect teaching areas, rocky boundaries and swimming sections, and arrange rescue cover and the usable launch zone directly with a centre.
