About the spot
Nissakia is at the Agios Nikolaos headland near Artemida, east of Athens. Northerly Meltemi can bring strong wind, chop and waves. Smoother areas near the small islands contain rocks, reef and limited depth, so they are not automatically beginner territory.
The entry is smaller and stonier than many Greek sandy beaches. Watch for sea urchins, rocks and other lines, and arrange local help for launching and landing. Schools offer instruction matched to ability and conditions. Busy sessions require reliable upwind control.
Access & local notes
Obtain a briefing on the kite entry; do not use rocks or gaps between the islands as practice space without local knowledge.
