About the spot

Oropos faces Evia across the southern Euboean Gulf. Thermal winds and a long shoreline offer opportunities for supervised beginners and freeriders. Depending on strength and direction, water ranges from light chop to rougher conditions rather than a uniformly shallow learning pool.

KiteClub selects the teaching area for the day's conditions, so confirm the meeting point and actual beach section beforehand. Keep the kite area separate from the harbour, ferries and swimming zones. Not every section between Skala Oropou and Chalkoutsi is suitable for launching.
