About the spot

Fanes has a sandy entry and gently sloping shoreline on Rhodes' northwest coast. Suitable wind supports supervised tuition and freeriding. Farther out and in strong Meltemi, chop and waves develop; the bay is not uniformly standing-depth or glassy.

Meltemi Kiteclub is below the village by Delfini beach hotel. Agree the launch and teaching sections with the team. The long coastline towards Kalavarda does not authorise launching on every stretch. Centre opening and rescue availability are seasonal.
