The kite area is on Steinwarder beside Heiligenhafen’s exposed Baltic coast. Conditions range from chop to waves; summer crowds and limited beach width demand controlled launches. Reliable upwind skills are important.

Check the current sports zone before rigging. Bathing areas, the pier and protected Graswarder are not alternative launch sites. Strong onshore wind can make the entry surf more difficult than conditions farther out.
