About the spot

The sandy shore of former Camp Galeb, now Almissa, lies west of the Cetina mouth. Posejdon confirms kitesurf instruction in gently shelving water here, providing a supervised learning option in the Split region. This does not make the entire river mouth a practice area.

Open water becomes choppier as wind increases. Teaching sections, swimmers, river flow and boat routes must remain separated. Agree the day’s location with the school; a favourable beach shape replaces neither suitable wind nor separation from campsite bathing activity.
