About the spot

Baratti Bay is Tuscany Waterman School's home area. It has a sandy coastal section shared with swimmers and other watersports. Lessons and launching methods are organised according to wind, space and experience.

The school also uses boat support and moves to other Tuscan locations when appropriate. Its presence therefore does not establish daily kite access throughout the bay. Beginners should book a supervised session. Independent riders need sufficient room for launching, drifting and returning clear of bathing activity.

Extensive experience with difficult launches, surf, currents or obstacles is required. Little room for riding or judgement errors.
Skill level: Pro
An exceptionally demanding specialist spot for pro-level riders. Extreme spot hazards require precise control, local knowledge and agreed safety support.
