About the spot

Capo Feto west of Mazara del Vallo is a sea beach beside protected wetlands. Sandbanks can reduce surf and create shallower freeriding water. The local school identifies west, northwest and southeast winds as usable; northerlies can be offshore and gusty.

Suitable conditions permit supervised lessons. The natural coastline does not provide guaranteed rescue coverage. Arrange access, launching space and recovery beforehand. Leave wetlands, dunes and vegetation undisturbed; use the confirmed sea area rather than inland water behind the beach.
