About the spot
The Isolotto in Sacca dei Moreri is Grado's designated kite area beyond the bathing beach. Its sandbar and shallows support supervised lessons. The local club favours southerly wind and afternoon southwesterly thermals; northeasterlies can carry riders offshore.
Access often involves carrying equipment through a strip of water. Water level and sandbanks alter the usable space. Give learners and sunbathers plenty of room. The kite area's designation does not extend automatically to neighbouring swimming or protected areas.
