About the spot

Isola delle Conchiglie lies off Lignano's Faro Rosso where lagoon and Adriatic meet. The sandy island has shallower water and is the tourism authority's summer alternative to the busy town beach. Arrange access and return locally.

Water level and currents alter the sandbanks and launch space. Lessons are possible with local supervision. Winter mainland conditions differ from summer island operations. An empty patch among swimmers is not an alternative launch zone.
