Marina Julia near Monfalcone is an organised Bora location. Northeasterly to easterly winds arrive cross-onshore and may be much stronger offshore than on the beach. Shallower water lies westward, with deeper water to the east. Strong, gusty Bora is unsuitable for beginners.

Use the managed launch corridor. Its operation depends on conditions and liability insurance is required. The summer bathing zone outside the channel remains off limits. Protected areas around the Isonzo mouth and Cona island are not alternative riding grounds.
