Pescara – Portanuova

About the spot

Portanuova lies south of Pescara's marina. The local school describes it as an alternative in southerly wind, with calmer conditions sometimes supporting lessons and freeriding. La Madonnina on the opposite side is a separate launch.

The marina, breakwaters and swimmers require a clearly identified launch zone. Assess wind and water at the beach; a smooth surface alone is insufficient. Beginners should use supervised tuition. Summer swimming activity may restrict access or prevent a session.
