Porto Cesareo is an important kite area on Salento's Ionian coast. Southerly through westerly winds can work, with different conditions over the outer reef and inside the more sheltered bay. Strong Sirocco can produce demanding waves.

Local schools mainly describe shoulder-season beach lessons. They identify summer bathing restrictions and frequently offshore winds, preventing a general summer recommendation. The separate La Strea lagoon is distinct from this coastal listing and needs its own access check. Beginners should book a specifically confirmed lesson.
