About the spot

Lake Resia is a high-altitude reservoir with summer southerly thermals. Shore-side rigging areas and organised instruction make it an established Alpine kite location. Available shoreline and depth nevertheless change with reservoir levels.

Water remains cool even when the air is warm. Beginners should use boat-supported lessons; independent riders need self-rescue skills and a dependable return. Alpine weather and thunderstorms can interrupt the thermal pattern. This entry covers water kitesurfing and does not authorise winter activity on the ice.
