The northern shore of Lake Santa Croce at Farra d'Alpago has established kite and teaching activity. Suitable fair weather can produce afternoon southwesterly thermals. The school uses a designated teaching sector, while the amount of usable beach depends on water level.

Shallower shoreline sections lead into deep water. Independent sessions require dependable waterstarts, relaunching and upwind riding. Low water brings the bottom and obstacles closer to the surface. Thunderstorms and irregular weather-driven winds need a separate assessment.
