About the spot

Velika Plaža is the extensive sandy venue southeast of Ulcinj. Summer maestral often arrives in the afternoon from a side to side-onshore angle. A shallower shore margin gives way to chop and surf in stronger wind. Organised kite sections support lessons and freeriding.

Not every part of the long beach is a kite zone. Schools, independent riders and swimmers use separate sectors, and some centres require registration or a usage fee. Morning offshore wind differs from the afternoon breeze. Confirm rescue coverage with your chosen centre and keep riding clear of launching and teaching areas.

Access & local notes

Register with a kite centre and check daily zones and rescue; kite sectors do not authorise the whole beach.
