About the spot

The kite area beside Marina Muiderzand faces the IJmeer. Its broad riding water quickly reaches roughly two metres and develops short wind chop. Independent riders are better suited here than unsupervised first-time learners.

Rocky shoreline sections can lie downwind depending on the wind angle. Summer weed particularly affects foils. Access is through the northern parking area near the watersports centre. Establish a return point and clearance from shore obstacles before launching; nearby watersports facilities do not remove those requirements.
