About the spot

The marker represents the central North Sea area between Ballum and Nes. Three authorised sections lie at Hollum (posts 3–4), Ballum–Nes (8.2–11.3) and Buren (17.4–19). Broad beaches, waves and currents require independent riders or appropriate instruction.

From March to November, carrying equipment to the sea and launching must also stay within these sections. Winter access is broader except in areas banning kite flying. The zones are geographically separate; this map point does not authorise the entire northern shore.
