About the spot

Ameland's designated Wadden venue lies west of the ferry causeway at Nes. Shallower, often smoother water can be usable for roughly three hours either side of high tide. Currents and falling depth still determine the return.

The launch beach is small, and surrounding tidal flats are not generally open for kiting. Remain inside the designated area and clear of the ferry causeway. The island's North Sea venues have different wind and wave conditions and are not a continuation of this zone.
