About the spot

The northern section near De Stern and access 10 Abbestee is Callantsoog's year-round kite area. North Sea waves and coastal currents define the venue. Groynes can disappear at higher water and must be located before riding.

Different rules apply to the south: summer kiting depends on the lifeguards' black-and-white permission flag. Without that signal, plan around the northern zone. Beginners should not underestimate the surf or the restricted space between submerged obstacles.
