About the spot

Zuiderstrand provides an open North Sea venue between the local beach accesses. Water deepens quickly, and changing banks create surf and rips. Covered groynes can be particularly difficult to identify at higher tide.

The launch area lies around accesses 10–11 and groyne 37. Experienced riders must keep clear of swimmers and surfers. Deep water, currents and obstacles make the location unsuitable for unsupervised beginners. Decide where and how to return before beginning the session.
