About the spot

Egmond's North Sea beaches offer waves and freeriding over changing sandbanks. Rip currents, deeper channels and breaking surf require experience. The broad sand is appealing at lower tide but is not an unrestricted launch area.

Orange-marked activity zones are available year-round. Broader access applies outside the bathing season, from 1 October to 1 May. Swimmers, other watersports users and a secure landing still need consideration. Beginners should use suitable supervised conditions rather than practise independently in the surf.
